WASHINGTON (May 3, 2024)- Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit Europe for the first time in five years this week. The tour is to reestablish Chinese foreign relations after Covid-19 pandemic. Jinping and his team will start in France before continuing to meet with leaders from Hungary and Serbia.

Bruce Dickson is a Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at the GW Elliott School of International Affairs. Dickson is an expert on U.S.-China relations, Chinese domestic politics, regimes and regime changes, and general comparative politics.
