WASHINGTON— It is with great sadness that we report the death of Taylor Hubbard, a sophomore engineering student at The George Washington University who was from Lexington Park, Maryland. On Saturday, May 15, Taylor fell from a fifth floor window at Guthridge Hall, a GW residence hall located in the 2100 block of F Street NW.

"Taylor was a promising student and a beloved member of the George Washington community. I speak for the entire University when I express our sympathy to Taylor's family. I once again ask that our community keep Taylor's family in our thoughts and prayers," said George Washington University President Steven Knapp.

An investigation continues. Nothing has emerged so far that indicates that this incident was anything other than a tragic accident.

Members of the George Washington community who are affected by this tragedy may contact the University Counseling Center at (202) 994-5300 or
