GW Statement Regarding Student Injury

WASHINGTON— The University is deeply saddened to report that a George Washington University student was critically injured after a fall from a window around 4 a.m., Saturday, May 15, at Guthridge Hall. Guthridge is a residence hall located in the 2100 block of F Street NW. The male student, a 20-year-old sophomore, was transported to The George Washington University Hospital. The student was not a resident of Guthridge Hall. The Metropolitan Police Department and the George Washington University Police Department are investigating this incident.

“On behalf of The George Washington University, I extend my sincerest sympathy to the student’s family and friends, and ask that we all keep him and them in our thoughts and prayers,” said GW President Steven Knapp.
