Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: GW Experts Available

WASHINGTON (May 25, 2021)The George Washington University has experts available to discuss various aspects of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Marc Lynch serves as director of the GW Project on Middle East Political Science. He is an expert on Middle East politics, Arab media and public opinion, and public diplomacy.

Shira Robinson is an associate professor of history and international affairs. Her expertise includes the social and cultural history of the Modern Middle East, with an emphasis on colonialism, citizenship and nationalism.

Ilana Feldman is a professor of anthropology, history and international affairs. Her research has focused on the Palestinian experience, both inside and outside of historic Palestine, examining practices of government, humanitarianism, policing, displacement and citizenship.

Michael Barnett is the University Professor of International Affairs and Political Science. He is an expert on humanitarian governance, the relationship between suffering and progress, and the global Jewish community.

Arie Dubnov is an associate professor of history and the Max Ticktin Chair of Israel Studies. He can discuss modern Jewish history, as well as Israeli history.

Robert Eisen, chair of the Department of Religion, is an expert on modern Jewish philosophy and religious ethics. He can discuss the role religion plays in the conflict. 

Nathan Brown, a professor of political science and international affairs, previously served as president of the Middle East Studies Association, the academic association for scholars studying the region. He is an expert on religion and politics.
