Black, Latino, and other marginalized racial and ethnic communities face significant challenges and substantial disparities in health and access to culturally competent care. These challenges are even more daunting for LGBT people of color. The 2018 LGBT Health Forum hosted by George Washington University’s LGBT Health Policy & Practice Program will address the health and rights of LGBT people of color. This discussion will shed light on the connection of access to culturally competent and dignified health care to human rights, social justice and Obamacare, the White House policy on transgender persons in the military and economic prosperity.

GW Corcoran School of the Arts and Design Celebrates the ‘NEXT’ Generation of Artists at Annual Exhibition

The George Washington University Corcoran School of the Arts and Design is entering a new era with the completion of the first phase of renovations on the historic Flagg Building and consolidating all the arts, from dance and theatre to painting and design into one new school. To celebrate this new beginning the Corcoran presents “NEXT,” the annual exhibition where students from the school’s various degree programs will showcase their artistic talents through their thesis projects.
