Pennsylvania School Stabbing: GW Experts Available to Comment

The George Washington University has the following experts available to comment on various aspects of the April 9 Pennsylvania school stabbing:

Attila J. Hertelendy, director for the Program in Emergency Health Services, is an expert on ambulance and emergency response capability, preparedness capability and general disaster response and mitigation. Professor Hertelendy is available to comment on these areas as they apply to this incident.

Sylvia A. Marotta-Walters, professor of counseling, is an expert on post-traumatic stress disorder and is available to discuss counseling, grieving and how to speak with children about this incident.

Elizabeth Witmer, interim director of the Community Counseling Services Center, is an expert on clinical child psychology. Professor Witmer has worked with children in many diverse, metropolitan areas providing individual and group therapy and educational and emotional assessment, and is available to discuss counseling, grieving and how to speak with children about this incident.
