Media Tip Sheet: Thousands Starting Weight Loss Drug Wegovy Weekly

The demand for weight-loss drug Wegovy is becoming more popular, as sales continue to increase. 

In an interview with CNN, Novo Nordisk Chief Executive Officer Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen said at least 25,000 people are starting the medicine weekly in the U.S. 

Wegovy received FDA approval in 2021 for chronic weight management. The company also makes Ozempic.
