Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to Discuss Disinformation Campaigns and Digital Attacks

EVENT:
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will headline a George Washington University conference about digital disinformation. Mr. Clapper will address the issue of digital attacks and disinformation campaigns by foreign actors on democratic institutions.
 
The address will be followed by a conversation moderated by David Ensor, director of GW's Project for Media and National Security and former director of Voice of America.
 
Mr. Clapper’s address is a part of the Contentious Narratives conference, co-hosted by GW’s School of Media and Public Affairs, GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs, and Harvard Kennedy School’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy. The conference will examine the effects of disinformation on peace building and on efforts to document human rights abuse and war crimes.
