Our Campus on Film

GW is the home to several venues on the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses that can be used for feature films, documentaries, television programs and more. If you are unfamilar with the university, we can help you identify a location on campus that fit your filming aspirations.

Jack Morton Auditorium

The Jack Morton Auditorium, housed in the GW Media and Public Affairs Building on the Foggy Bottom campus, is a fixed seat venue with the capacity to seat up to 244 people.

The auditorium offers full TV production capability, digital sound and video recording and video conferencing. It is an ideal location for any event involving current issues, cultural performances or public/government affairs.

Lisner Auditorium

Lisner Auditorium is uniquely suited to host high profile media events.

Located on our Foggy Bottom campus, the auditorium has a seating capacity of 1,500, a column free interior, greenroom, 8 stage level dressing rooms and state-of-the art production technology.

Foggy Bottom Campus Spaces

Conveniently located in the heart of Washington, D.C., our Foggy Bottom campus offers a variety of possible film locations. From high tech labs to different outdoor settings, our staff can guide you to one that fits your aesthetic.

Mount Vernon Campus Spaces

Just a few miles from the bustle of downtown, several spaces on our Mount Vernon campus can provide a more traditional collegiate atmosphere. Beautiful foilage and rolling green hills surround the campus' academic buildings, residence halls and athletic fields.
