EVENT:
- The George Washington University will hold its annual commencement ceremony on the National Mall. GW’s commencement offers an engaging local story with national resonance and historical significance, as GW is the largest university in the District and the only university in the nation to hold graduation on the National Mall.
- Jonquel Jones, the WNBA’s most valuable player and reigning MVP of the WNBA Finals for the champion New York Liberty will give the keynote address to the graduating class of 2025.
WHEN:
- Sunday, May 18, 2025
- Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.
- Press access begins at 9:00 a.m.
WHERE:
- Event Location: The National Mall
- Press entrance: Members of the media should check in upon arrival at Gate 7, along Constitution Avenue, between 15th and 16th Streets. A member of the GW media team will guide checked-in individuals to the media risers.
- Livestream: A livestream will be available during the Commencement at commencement.gwu.edu.

Media who wish to attend GW’s commencement must RSVP by Saturday, May 17 to GW Media at gwmediagwu [dot] edu.
