GW Conference to Explore New Options for U.S.-North Korea Relationship

EVENT:
Former national security and diplomacy professionals will join activists and academics at the George Washington University to discuss policy options to diffuse U.S.-North Korea tensions. The daylong conference, hosted by GW’s Partnerships for International Strategies in Asia and the Korea Peace Network, will feature keynote addresses from former Secretary of Defense William Perry, who successfully negotiated a freeze of North Korea's nuclear program, and the acclaimed Korea historian Bruce Cumings. The conference will also feature the voices of those most directly impacted by the unresolved conflict, including humanitarian workers and families of service members who were killed or are missing.
