GW Expert Available to Discuss Congressional Redistricting

June 1, 2022

New Hampshire became the 50th and final state to approve a new congressional map yesterday, five months before the 2022 midterm elections. Although legal challenges to some states’ maps continue to wind their way through the courts, the national redistricting process stemming from the results of the 2020 Census is virtually complete.

Christopher Warshaw, an associate professor of political science at the George Washington University, is an expert on redistricting. Professor Warshaw can explain the redistricting process, provide insight on partisan gerrymandering, and discuss how the new congressional maps will affect the midterm elections and the balance of power on Capitol Hill.
