WASHINGTON (September 23, 2026) – At the United Nations General Assembly, President Trump announced that artificial intelligence (AI) will be renamed “super intelligence” in all U.S. government documents. His comments come amid growing concerns about advanced AI systems, including warnings from a former Anthropic researcher about the potential damage AI could cause to humanity. This week, the United Nations is also examining the broader impact of AI on human development, work, education and society.
