Media Tip Sheet: Biden and Trump’s Mental and Physical Health Raises Concerns for Voters

President Biden is the oldest president ever at 80 years old. The leading Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, is 77.

In a recent NBC News poll, three-quarters of voters, including half of Democrats, say they have concerns about President Joe Biden’s mental and physical health.

That compares to 48% of voters who have concerns about former President Donald Trump’s mental and physical health.

Melissa Batchelor, an associate professor of nursing and geriatric nursing researcher, is the director of George Washington University’s interdisciplinary Center for Aging, Health and Humanities. Batchelor is a nurse and PhD with over 25 years of experience in the aging and long-term care and healthcare space.
