Media Tip Sheet: CDC Updates Measles Travel Warning

June 2, 2025

The CDC has updated its travel warning, recommending all international travelers to be fully vaccinated against measles.

This comes as the CDC has received dozens of reports this year of travelers being infected with the measles while flying back into the U.S. from another county.

Faculty experts at the George Washington University are available to offer insight about measles and getting vaccinated. To schedule an interview with an expert, please contact Katelyn Deckelbaum, katelyn [dot] deckelbaumatgwu [dot] edu (katelyn[dot]deckelbaum[at]gwu[dot]edu).
