Media Tip Sheet: Ceasefire Deal Reached In Gaza As Hostages Return To Israel

WASHINGTON (October 14, 2025) – U.S. President Donald Trump is in the Middle East Monday, where he is meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi at a world summit to address Gaza’s future. During this visit, President Trump and other world leaders reached a ceasefire deal which led to all 20 living hostages to be able to return to Israel. As President Trump addressed the Israeli Parliament, he stated this is the early stages of a new age of peace in the Middle East.

U.S. Foreign Policy

Gordon Gray is a Kuwait Professor of Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Affairs. Gray is an expert in Diplomacy and Statecraft and U.S. Foreign Policy in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Gray served the US government for 35 years with many foreign assignments.

Political Implications
