WASHINGTON (September 10, 2025) – Two weeks ago, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb heard arguments over a bid to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook over allegations of mortgage fraud years ago. Late on Tuesday, Judge Cobb granted Gov Cook’s request for a preliminary injunction blocking her firing while her dispute makes its way through the courts. The ruling will likely be appealed.
