A new Covid-19 variant is circulating, increasing the number of cases, according to The World Health Organization.

According to the Associated Press, airport screenings have detected the new variant in travelers arriving from eastern Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and Western Pacific regions.

The new variant, identified as NB.1.8.1 is still considered a low public health risk by The World Health Organization.
