July 23, 2025

WASHINGTON (July 23, 2025) - Washington, D.C. just claimed the top spot in a new ranking for the worst traffic in the country. According to Consumer Affairs, commuters in the region lose more time to congestion than anywhere else in the U.S., and it's taking a toll beyond just missed meetings and late arrivals.

Chronic traffic stress is now recognized as a real health concern, contributing to anxiety, irritability, poor sleep, and even cardiovascular issues.

The George Washington University has experts available who can discuss the psychological and physical effects of daily gridlock and how to manage stress behind the wheel or on public transit.
