November 10, 2025

WASHINGTON (November 10, 2025) – After 40 days, a group of Democrats and Republicans have reached a deal to reopen the government. Lawmakers voted late Sunday on an agreement that would fund the government until January 30th. The agreement also includes full-year funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) through September 30th, 2026 or the end of the fiscal year. The legislation now needs to pass the House before the shutdown can officially end.
