The Department of Energy has announced the allocation of over $350 million for rural renewable energy projects across 20 states and 30 tribal nations, with a focus on innovative solutions to clean energy deployment. These projects, ranging from microgrids for community health centers to hydroelectric facilities on tribal lands, aim to enhance energy security in rural and remote areas, particularly benefiting Native American communities.

The initiative aligns with broader White House climate goals, emphasizing progress in renewable energy as part of the administration's strategy to reduce U.S. emissions by 2030.
