WASHINGTON (August 23, 2023) – “I will proudly be arrested tomorrow afternoon in Georgia” Former President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social account, as he plans to surrender in Fulton County, Georgia on Thursday. Last week Trump and 18 others were charged with 13 counts in Georgia for their efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election results. Trump is currently the front-runner for the GOP party nomination in the 2024 election, however he will be missing the first Republican primary debate tonight.
