Media Tip Sheet: FTC Votes on Noncompete Agreements

WASHINGTON (April 23, 2024)—Five members of the FTC will be voting today on whether to issue a final rule banning noncompetes. If passed, this would declare noncompetes an unfair method of competition. This vote was set after the FTC received more than 26,000 public comments.

Kovacic is an expert in antitrust law, contracts, and government contracts. In addition to his expertise, Kovacic was a member of the FTC for over a decade and chaired the commission from March 2008-March 2009.
