Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” soared past expectations at the box office last weekend, raking in $80.5 million in its opening weekend and coming in second behind “Barbie.” “Oppenheimer” tells the story of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and the creation of the atomic bomb. The movie’s release is sparking renewed interest among movie goers and the general public in nuclear physics.
