WASHINGTON (July 13, 2023)—On Wednesday, July 12, 2023 the Environmental Protection Agency proposed a new bill that would affect millions of buildings nationwide. The proposed plan would clear all lead dust in older buildings, and  remove lead paint- allowing only the lowest levels that standing removal efforts cannot rid. The measures would include homes, schools, day-care facilities, camps and all other similar facilities frequented by children around and below the age of six. This is the strongest measure against the poisonous substance since the United Stated banned the sale of lead-based paint in 1978.
