GSPM’s Todd Belt Ahead of the New Hampshire Primary

As the New Hampshire Republican primary looms, the GOP stands at a critical juncture with Donald Trump and Nikki Haley in a one-on-one race.

Todd Belt, director of the Political Management Program at the GW Graduate School of Political Management, is available to offer predictions, analysis and commentary ahead of the New Hampshire Republican primary. Belt is an expert on the presidency, campaigns and elections, mass media and politics, public opinion, and political humor. In addition to his expertise, Belt is co-author of four books and helps to run GW’s political poll, which recently shared new findings

“The New Hampshire election is going to be crucial in determining whether or not Nikki Haley has much of a future,” Belt says. “We have one caucus in the next month and then we go to South Carolina, which could be really make or break for her. If she can do well in New Hampshire today, that might be able to carry her all the way to her home state. If she doesn’t it might be over.”

Belt explains how recent polling has positioned former president Donald Trump as trending positively nationally versus Haley who is surging nationally following a lackluster performance in Iowa. Hear more of Belt’s insights in this video here.
