Health
Caitlin Murphy is a research scientist in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is an expert in maternal and child health, women’s health, reproductive health and disparities in health among vulnerable populations.
Nancy Gaba is professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Sara Rosenbaum, is the emerita professor of health policy and management, and previously served as founding chair of the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health Department of Health Policy. She is a nationally recognized expert on health care access for vulnerable populations.
Amita N. Vyas, is an associate professor at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health and Director for the GW Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child health. She also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Women’s Health Issues.
Julia Strasser, is the executive director of the Jacobs Institute of Women's Health and an assistant research professor of health policy and management at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is an expert on reproductive health care and access to essential care including abortion.
Linda Cassar, clinical associate professor at the GW School of Nursing, has worked primarily with the maternal/child health patient population over her 30 years as a nurse, working in labor and delivery, mother/baby, high-risk antepartum, and outpatient community perinatal education.
Suzan Ulrich is the director of midwifery education at the GW School of Nursing. She has been a midwife since 1983 and an educator of nurses and midwives for over 40 years.
Tarnisha Hemphill is an assistant professor of nursing at GW. Her area of expertise is promoting diversity and equity in health care and improving prenatal care access to underserved populations with health disparities.
Adriana Glenn is an assistant professor in the GW School of Nursing. She has 30 years of experience as a family nurse practitioner.
Business
Kathy Korman Frey is an industry instructor of entrepreneurship and the director of the Center For Entrepreneurial Excellence at the GW School of Business. She founded and teaches the Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) at GWSB.
Sharon Hill is a professor of management at the GW School of Business. She is a leading scholar on examining virtual work and gender differences in virtual work.
Gender Studies
Shirley Graham is the Director of the Gender Equality Initiative in International Affairs (GEIA), Program Director for the Global Gender Policy Program, and Associate Professor of Practice in International Affairs at George Washington University, Elliott School of International Affairs.
Mary Ellsberg, Executive Director of the Global Women’s Institute at the George Washington University is available to discuss gender inequality as well as the history of violence against women and girls worldwide. Ellsberg has more than 30 years of experience in international programs on gender and development. Her deep connection to global gender issues stems not only from her academic work but from living in Nicaragua for nearly 20 years, leading public health and women’s rights advocacy. Ellsberg was a member of the World Health Organization’s Multi-Country Study on Domestic Violence and Women’s Health.
