WASHINGTON (July 6, 2023)- On Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 Meta officially launched its new app, “Threads”. The app is most closely compared to Twitter and is expected to rival the little blue bird, with 30 million sign ups as of Thursday, July 6th. Threads is currently the top free app on Apple’s App Store and trending on platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. Users on Threads are able to post pictures and videos, similar to its sibling company, Instagram; but it also offers users the ability to have  real-time conversations.
