The George Washington University has experts available to comment on the new study. Researchers from the GW Climate and Health Institute use NASA satellites to study air pollution in cities in the US and around the world. To schedule an interview please contact Kathy Fackelmann, [email protected].

Susan Anenberg, is Director of the GW Climate and Health Institute, and professor of environmental and occupational health at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health. Anenberg’s research focuses on the health implications of air pollution, including the global burden of disease linked to dirty air. Anenberg can discuss steps policymakers can take to address both air pollution and climate change.

Gaige Kerr, a senior research scientist at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health, is studying air pollution and how it affects human health. His most recent study shows that communities of color face a growing burden of diseases linked to air pollution. Watch a video of Kerr talking about the study.
