Media Tip Sheet: SCOTUS hears arguments on EPA's 'good neighbor' Rule

February 21, 2024

WASHINGTON (February 23, 2024)—The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments this week for the EPA’s ‘good neighbor’ rule. The ‘good neighbor’ rule was introduced in 2023 under the Clean Air Act, saying state get a chance to draw their own pollution control plans. According to NBC, the 6-3 leaning conservative court seems inclined to block the EPA’s regulation.

Faculty experts at the George Washington University are available to offer insight, commentary and analysis on this legal battle, and its underlying scientific issues.
