WASHINGTON (March 27, 2026) – Early Friday morning, the Senate voted to fund the Department of Homeland Security, in an attempt to reopen parts of the Transportation Security Administration that had been partially shut down for over a month. However, the bill will not fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol. As of now, the House still needs to pass the bill before it is signed into law.
