WASHINGTON (August 19, 2025) – In a social media post on Monday, Trump announced he would “lead a movement” to eliminate mail-in ballots and voting machines before the 2026 midterm elections.

The New York Times reports that any Executive Order taking action regarding elections is likely to see immediate legal challenges.
