New data from the CDC shows there were 30,000 fewer drug overdose deaths in 2024 compared to the year before.
According to the CDC, 80,000 overdose deaths were reported last year in the U.S. - which is down 27% from 2023.
Despite the decline, these numbers are still higher than before the covid-19 pandemic.
