Media Tip Sheet: US Sues Apple in Antitrust Lawsuit

WASHINGTON (March 21, 2024) – The Department of Justice joined 16 states and the District of Columbia to file a joint antitrust lawsuit against Apple. The government argues that Apple had violated antitrust laws and practices that kept their roughly one billion customers reliant on their devices.

 William Kovacic is the Global Competition Professor of Law and Policy, Professor of Law, and Director of the Competition Law Center at the George Washington University Law. Kovacic is an expert in antitrust law, contracts, and government contracts. In addition to his expertise, Kovacic was a member of the FTC for over a decade and chaired the commission from March 2008-March 2009.
