A group of Virginia state lawmakers voted yesterday in favor of a deal that could move the Washington Capitals and Wizards to an arena in Northern Virginia. The plan would still require approval from the full General Assembly and local officials and Monumental Sports, the company which owns the two professional teams, haven’t yet definitively said it would move the two teams. The potential move would bring the Capitals and Wizards to a new facility in the Potomac Yard neighborhood.
