In an era of rapid technological advancement and heightened global uncertainty, the George Washington University is convening a high-level conference on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, bringing together Central Bank Governors, private sector CEOs, digital technology leaders, and academics to discuss the challenges facing the continent as well as the policies and initiatives that can help transform African financial systems.
The conference aims to delve into emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and climate finance and the innovative solutions that African banks can further develop to help drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth. The basic aim is to mobilize financial resources for the benefit of countries and their citizens. The conference will also delve into the opportunities for advanced economies to enhance trade and investment in the region for mutual benefit by bringing together policymakers and practitioners sharing the common goal of advancing Africa's progress.
The conference is being hosted the George Washington University School of Business, The Growth Dialogue, the Institute for International Economic Policy at the Elliott School of International Affairs and Believe in Africa.
