WASHINGTON (March 3, 2025)- Private Aerospace Firm, Firefly, launched its  Blue Ghost lunar spacecraft this past weekend and successfully landed on the moon approximately 3:34am (ET) on Sunday. The uncrewed spacecraft landed stable and upright after performing two “hazard avoidance” maneuvers. 


CNN reported that Firefly CEO Jason Kim said, “Every single thing was clockwork, even when we landed. We got some moon dust on our boots.”
