Media Tip Sheet: DOJ Requests Voter Rolls and Election Data Across Several States

WASHINGTON (July 17, 2025) – Several states are being asked to provide copies of their voter rolls and share information about voters. This comes after courts temporarily blocked a key provision in an executive order that would shift the power of elections. The DOJ is now taking a different approach, focusing more on sharing information.
