Federal health officials have confirmed additional deaths and illnesses tied to a widening Listeria outbreak linked to ready-to-eat pasta salads and prepared meals sold nationwide at major grocers like Trader Joe’s, Kroger, Walmart, Sprouts, and Giant Eagle.
The contamination has been traced to precooked pasta supplied by Nate's Fine Foods, used in dozens of branded products—including pasta salads, fettuccine alfredo, shrimp scampi bowls, and other deli meals.
