WASHINGTON (May 5, 2026) — The George Washington University, The Consortium of
Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area, and the League of Women Voters of the
District of Columbia will host a nonpartisan candidates forum for the D.C. mayoral race on
Wednesday, May 20.
Moderated by Steve Roberts, an award-winning journalist and former New York Times Bureau
Chief, the forum will provide an opportunity for candidates to discuss key issues facing the
District.
Sponsoring organizations include the National Council of Negro Women, Many Languages/One
Voice, Multicultural Community Service, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated's Federal
City Alumnae Chapter
