The Documentary Center at the George Washington University has launched the second season of its series What’s Up? Docs!, which pairs significant documentaries with speakers who illuminate deeper meaning within the films. The spring 2017 season is titled “What do you Believe? - A Priest, A Rabbi, A Physician, And A Lawyer Walk Into A Movie Theater.” Each film will examine a different aspect of belief: evidence, morality and faith. The lineup includes:
“Capturing the Friedmans” (2003) – EVIDENCE

“Extremis” (2016) – MORALITY

Special guests: Marion Danis, head of the section on ethics and health policy in the department of bioethics at the National Institutes of Health; David DeGrazia, professor of philosophy at GW and senior research fellow in the department of bioethics at the National Institutes of Health
