Ambassador John Negroponte to Speak on U.S. National Security at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs

EVENT:
Prominent diplomat John D. Negroponte will speak on the current state of U.S. national security and diplomacy at the George Washington University. Amb. Negroponte, currently a visiting professor at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs, was formerly the U.S. ambassador to Honduras, Mexico, the Philippines, the United Nations and Iraq. He was also the first director of National Intelligence under President George W. Bush. 
 
The event, part of the Elliott School’s Shapiro Lecture Series, will include a moderated discussion with GW Professor Henry Nau, a former staff member of the National Security Council under President Ronald Reagan.
