WASHINGTON (July 30, 2026) – Microsoft launched its first cybersecurity model, MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, built to identify vulnerabilities in complex codebases. The company claims the MAI-Cyber-1-Flash is significantly more powerful, and more cost-effective, than competitor models such as Anthropic, Google and OpenAI.
In addition, Microsoft launched their new AI platform, Perception, designed to assist with and automate various security workflows, as well as identifying bugs.
