EVENT:
Every landmark in Washington, D.C., has a story. Some never made it past the drawing board. “Best Laid Plans: Designs for a Capital City” showcases unrealized designs for the Washington Monument, Arlington Memorial Bridge and the U.S. Capitol Building through historical prints and paintings from the museum’s Albert H. Small Washingtoniana Collection. This exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Albert H. Small Center for National Capital Area Studies.

Admission is free for museum members, children and current GW students, faculty and staff. A suggested donation of $8 for non-members supports the museum’s exhibitions, collections and educational programs.
