Media Tip Sheet: New Delhi's Attempt to Curb Air Pollution and Its Legal Implications

WASHINGTON(November 7, 2023)—New Delhi, India announced it will restrict use of vehicles for a week in the hopes to curb air pollution. The local government has attempted air quality restoration and preservation efforts, but still remain in the “severe” air quality category. The poor air quality in the area has forced schools and other institutions to close.
