WASHINGTON(December 11, 2023) – Last week a Texas judge ruled that a pregnant woman could legally terminate her pregnancy. After the woman sued the state to temporarily block the abortion ban due to the fetus’s diagnosis and likelihood of not living for more than a few days outside the womb. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton warned the woman and any doctor that they could face civil and criminal penalties should she obtain an abortion.
