EVENT:
The current administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs will join her predecessors from the Obama, Bush and Clinton administrations at the George Washington University to discuss and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the “Regulatory Planning and Review” executive order, which has guided regulatory oversight since 1993. The event, hosted by the GW Regulatory Studies Center, will gather senior agency officials, congressional staff and regulatory experts to discuss the controversial yet bipartisan past, present and future of the executive order and the “obscure but powerful” Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, which administers it.
The GW Regulatory Studies Center will host the event in partnership with the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis, the American Bar Association Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice, and GW’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration.
