Senate Poised to Pass Kids Online Safety Act

U.S. Senators announced this week that a bill to expand protections for children online has enough support in the Senate for passage, which The Washington Post says “would be most significant congressional attempt in decades to regulate tech companies.” The Kids Online Safety Act would impose sweeping regulations on how social media companies operate for young users. The bill still needs to clear the House.
