Statement on Release of GW Doctoral Student Stas Gorelik

The George Washington University has received word that Mr. Stas Gorelik, a fifth-year PhD student and teaching assistant at the university, has been released from detention. We would like to express our profound appreciation to all those involved in his release, and for the outpouring of support from the community. GW sends our best wishes to Mr. Gorelik and his loved ones.
