The university does not support a surcharge on rideshare trips and believes it will create a barrier to accessing education, health care facilities, and businesses in many District neighborhoods, including Foggy Bottom. The university shares Mayor Bowser's and Councilmember Pinto’s concerns that the surcharge will slow efforts to re-energize downtown D.C. and have a negative impact on the District's workforce.
